eSIM op reis
A product business that runs itself: payment, eSIM and delivery with no human in the loop.

Situation
Travellers want internet abroad straight away, without the hassle of physical SIM cards. The product is digital and the margins are thin, so every manual step per order costs more than it brings in. The business had to run from the first sale without anyone processing orders by hand.
The hard part
Between the payment and a working eSIM sits the supplier of the data bundles. That chain has to hold, even when something goes wrong. A payment that comes in but yields no eSIM is an angry customer abroad, with no internet to reach out.
What I built
- →A custom storefront where the customer picks a data bundle per destination and checks out.
- →An integration with the telecom supplier that creates an eSIM automatically after payment.
- →Delivery of the QR code by email within minutes, with nobody preparing anything.
- →A custom native app as a second delivery channel, where the customer installs and manages the eSIM directly.
- →Payments through Stripe, with iDEAL and Bancontact as methods, fed back to the order status.
- →An integration with Moneybird, so sales and invoices land in the bookkeeping automatically.
The chain
Every sale flows through to Moneybird for the bookkeeping automatically.
Result
The shop runs as a standalone product. A customer pays and has a working eSIM within minutes, at any time of day, without anyone stepping in. It is my own product, so I am the one on the hook for the uptime and the fulfilment I deliver.

Tell me where it hurts. A first 30-minute call is free and without obligation, and usually enough to tell what is feasible.
